Q. How do you feel with
regards to Series 7 being the weakest series of Red Dwarf and series 8 being
another 'average' series?
DL.
"I have different feelings, but then you try watching
it with Rimmer's 'Hammond Organ' music blasting out all the time"
Q. What
is the most important element of Red Dwarf?
DL. "The
writing, but then what's that without the support of everyone else on the team?
but it's a very important start"
Q. What is the worst thing
you had to do for an episode of Red Dwarf?
DL. "Eat
Pot Noodles and Dog Food, that was smegging bad man!"
Q. What
are the plans for RD in the future and in particular the rumored film?
DL. "There
aren't any plans for another series at the moment. The film is due to start
production in Spring next year"
Q. Do
you think Red Dwarf can go on forever?
DL. "No,
do you think you can?"
Q. "Since
'The End' was broadcast 11 years ago, there has always been confusion and strife
over one major RD point. What was the prop used for the 14B/F?. Now rumor has
it that it was a pipe cleaner, but no-one knows for sure!
DL. "I'll
be happy to clear that up, it was a pipe cleaner. What the smeg did you think
it was?"
